CONSTRUCTION of a $58m luxury gated community has been fast-tracked after an end-of-financial-year surge in sales.
Aniko Group will begin building 35 Grant Ave at Hope Island this month after more than $53m worth of homes, or 90 per cent of the townhouse precinct changed hands.
Just five homes remain on the market, including two waterfront. Ground was previously not expected to be broken until later this year.
Aniko Group managing director George Mastrocostas said sales in the city’s far north remained strong, with the average price topping $lm.
The resort-style project will feature 58 townhouses, duplexes and waterfront villas. It is one of five projects the developer has in the pipeline for the suburb, along with a new high-rise tower on Chevron Island.
