GREEN LIGHT FOR HOPE ISLAND TOWERS

    PRESS: GOLD COAST BULLETIN

A $145M luxury unit complex planned for the city’s far north has been given the green light.

The Gold Coast City Council has approved the waterfront, twin eight-storey Athena Quays buildings on Hope Island’s Sickle Ave. It is the fifth Hope Island project to be approved for developer Aniko Group in four years.

“A number of buyers who missed out on our earlier development Athena Residences have already indicated their interest in buying into Athena Quays.” Aniko boss George Mastrocostas said.

“The Hope Island market continues to be in high demand among buyers looking for luxurious waterfront residences without the huge premiums found in beachside locations.”

Athena Quays will primarily be aimed at downsizers and will feature private marina berths, a resort-style swimming pool and a gym. It will have 177 units. 90 of which will be built in the first stage.

The approval comes just four weeks after Aniko unveiled its first project outside of Hope Island, a $100m, 21-storey tower on Chevron Island.
